Library

The library at Slippery Rock should be the building that get remodeled or rebuilt not the union. The library is not even close to big enough for the number of students who use it. I think the student union that we have now is perfectly fine and does not need to be replaced. At the library, especially this close to finals, it is easier to find a parking spot on campus (not easy to do) than it is to find an open computer. Today alone it took me ten minutes in the library prior to actually signing on to a computer.

Summer School

With the school year winding down, I am very ready for a break. The only thing is that I cannot decide if I want to take summer classes. I know I dont want to take any here at SRU for summer because it is expensive and I can take an easier class at community college. I figure that I want to take a math class in the summer so CCAC is my best bet. If I dont take it at CCAC then I'll probably have the break that I've been looking for.

Slippery Rock Lacrosse 2

An update from last post, number one Slippery Rock defeated Cincinnati 10-8. This huge win solidified their number one rank and they earned the number one seed in playoffs. Soon will be the announcement of who they play in the first round of the play-offs. There is a small chance of a first round bye. If Slippery Rock can advance to the final four this year, it will be its third consecutive season reaching the final four in the ncll national championship tournament. Wish us luck. LETS GO ROCK!

Slippery Rock Lacrosse

As of last night, Slippery Rock's men's club lacrosse team has been ranked number one in the country for d2 in the ncll (http://ncllax.com/index.php). Slippery Rock's lacrosse team, led by captains Andrew Smykowski (goalie) and Brad Allen (attack) are undefeated this season with two games remaining this season. Slippery Rock's men's club lacrosse team faces bitter rival Cincinnati on Sunday at Wally Rose field located behind Rhoads Hall. The team has already clinched a play off spot and at the end of the month will travel to Richmond Virginia for the national tournament. Come show your support for Slippery Rock's men's lacrosse team Sunday, it's the biggest game of the season.
